ACCOUNTANT(UK)

We are looking for an Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team supporting UK-based clients. This role involves managing end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards, and delivering high-quality client service in a fast-paced BPO environment.

Requirements

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and and month-end closing activities.
• Fulfill bookkeeping requirements as and when needed.
• Process payroll in compliance with HMRC requirements.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, PAYE and other HMRC filings
• Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with UK taxation laws and guidelines.
• Assist with internal/external audits and compliance requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients via email, calls and meetings to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold client confidentiality.
• Identify process improvements and support automation/efficiency initiatives.
• Ability to understand client and jurisdiction requirements and conform to them for all deliverables.
• Analyse the MI data collated by the team on regular basis to detect trends and suggesting improvisations.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Full/ Partial qualification in CIMA/ACCA.
• 3 – 4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to UK accounts.
• Knowledge in handling UK Corporation Tax and Self assessments would be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with client-facing experience.
• Ability to work accurately under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using numerous online platforms for research outreach.
• Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
• A team player with a can do attitude.
